Warning: Jewelry Shopping in Aruba

My family and I have travelled to Aruba for Christmas vacationing for many years. Two years ago my wife purchased an emerald and gold bracelet from Kenro Jewelers. During this last year, the hinges that connect each section of the bracelet became weakened. One link broke completely and needed to be repaired.

We brought the bracelet with us to Aruba last week. We delivered it to their president, Humphrey Theysen. He returned it to us agreeing that it needed to be repaired and that he would only charge us $138 plus shipping and handling to do so.

That's not what we call standing behind your product!

Here is a friendly warning: Stay away from Kenro Jewelers in Aruba!!!

Sorry to hear of your experience. I love Kenro Jewelers. They are the only place in Aruba to buy gold plated jewelry made from Aruban coins which always make great souvenirs. I always stop in there to shop when I am there. I have also bought 14K jewelry and not had a problem. Too bad they wouldn't stand behind your bracelet.
