We stayed at Nisbet Plantation last year (summer 2000) and it was great!! The best and friendliest service I have ever experienced. Wonderful location right on the beach. A great 5-course dinner every night (but nothing too heavy!) with excellent service. So I have nothing but good things to say about this hotel!<BR>We also visited Golden Rock, which is a "nature" hotel not on the beach, but close to some wonderful hiking trails in Nevis' rainforest. If you don't mind not being on the beach and if you want to be close to the nature trails, this may also be a very good option (we did not stay at this hotel, however - but it looked nice). Good luck with whatever you choose!

We honeymooned at Nisbet in June. It's a beautiful hotel. The grounds are gorgeous, the rooms are well-maintained, and the people are extremely friendly and helpful. Best of all, the meals are outstanding. Certainly top notch food. Breakfast is served down by the beach - very peaceful and relaxing. Most dinners are at the great house, which is very romantic. There are impressive fresh fish barbecues several nights/week down by the beach.<BR> Unfortunately, there are no nature walks available. If you do choose this hotel, rent a car and take a drive along the coast. We came upon the ruins of an old sugar plantation a few miles from the hotel and walked about a half-mile from the road to get to it. It was set right on the beach, and is probably one of the highlights of the honeymoon, if not of any other trip we've made to the caribbean.
