Elizabeth, I would recommend Blue Waters on Shoal Bay West. It is on the beach, apartment style accommodations. There are a couple of restaurants right near by. They are two story buildings right on the beach. Fantastic location. Rates are very good. Accommodations are very clean and spacious. If you get a downstairs unit you literally can put your feet in the sand. I highly recommend it. GL

Another good option is Carimar on Meads Bay - beautiful location and very reasonable.

Hi. We stayed at the Allamanda Beach Club at Upper Shoal Bay. Small apartments with a short walk to the beach. Small reef a short swim from beach. When we were there (April 05) it was very quiet. It is remote, an easy walk to Shoal Bay. Beach very beautiful.

Serenity Cottage (http://www.serenity.ai/) and Lloyd's Bed and Breakfast (http://lloyds.ai/) are two well-reviewed, moderately priced choices. Both are also air-conditioned which may be a plus for some travelers. Serenity Cottage is on Upper Shoal Bay right next to the beach. Lloyd's is in the Valley but not on the beach (although in Anguilla, you're never far from the beach no matter where you are).
