How Early to Arrive at St Maarten Airport?

I am flying from Anguilla to St Maarten on Anguilla Air Services this Sunday (May 1), connecting to a United flight to Newark. Anguilla Air arrives at 12:10, and United departs at 2:30. Do I have enough time between those flights? I think that I will have to go through St Maarten immigration. I will NOT be checking bags, and I am flying Business class. I'm a little concerned about how long the lines will be for security, etc, because one Jet Blue, one Delta, and two American flights are also departing for the US at nearly the same departure time. If I arrive at the St Maarten Airport 2 hours and 20 minutes before my flight, will I make it? When we arrived in St Maarten several days ago, the lines at immigration and customs looked horrifically long, which is why I am concerned how things will look when departing.

The immigration lines are still long at SXM. We traveled from Anguilla to SXM last year via a private ferry service (not the public ferry to/from Marigot) and it was easy. I don't remember specifics but I think we allowed at least 2.5 hours to get through immigration and check-in. We were flying business class, too, and I don't think there was an expedited security line for first/business class. We've found that many of the Caribbean airports don't have a separate security line for first class. I think you will be cutting it close. It sounds like it should be plenty of time but you'll have to clear immigration and with so many other flights leaving around the same time the lines will be very long for security. Have you already paid for your flight from Anguilla? The ferries are no trouble and they probably have more frequent trips to St. Martin than does Anguilla Air Services so you could get there earlier.

We were through immigration in about 15 minutes last december.
My daughter who checked the week before was also through in 15 minutes.

I think 2 hours and 20 min should suffice. A group of us did the same a few years ago and gave ourselves a little less than 2 hours and made it ok.
