hotel with "au naturel" beach and great snorkeling
Hi, can anyone recommend a AI hotel that has great snorkeling from the hotel beach but and here is the catch, that also has an "au natural" section beach. Anywhere considered in the general Caribbean area.

You're not ging to get both
The islands that have au natural are basically St Martin, jamaica, and there's a beach in Antigua. None of these 3 have good snorkeling.
The islands with the great snorkeling such as Virgin Islands, Caymans, T&C, Bonaire, all frown on nudity, even topless. Actually against their laws.
If you can find a resort like that in Mexico, they have terrific snorkeling, but in all my travels to Mexico I've never seen a nude on any of the beaches.

I'm talking about private resorts. I don't have the name of it handy but european friends of mine who are into that, stayed at an AI on the Mayan Riviera that was a true nudist resort (not only on the beach). So it is around (but no not out on public beaches).
I know in Negril Jamaica a couple of the AIs have a both nude and clothed beaches.
I don't mean to sound flip, but I'm pretty sure you can find these by Google-ing.

Thanks for the suggestions, I have been naturist for many years and know where most of the popular naturist hotels are. The problem I have is finding out which of those have the good snorkeling. A small au natural section to the beach area is sufficient. .....and I have spent many wasted hours google-ing, which is why I have resorted to the more direct approach. Our other hobby is diving and we have already come to the conclusion that those two are not very compatible without a bottomless wallet.

I googled for you
3 suggestions came up, followed by my opion in parenthesis
1. St barts. (terrible snorkeling, expensive)
2. St Martin (terrible snorkeling
3. Hidden Resort in Playa Del Carmen Mexico (terrific snorkeling, but you to go next door to snorkel and have to wear clothes while snorkeling)
Good luck!

I only know of a couple in Mexico and Jamaica. Personally, I think you will find better snorkeling in Mexico over Jamaica.
Research these resorts by reading the reviews on Trip Advisor and see if they are what you are looking for:
Temptations Resort Spa - Cancun, MX
Hidden Beach Resort Au Naturel Club - Rivera Maya, MX
Couples Tower Island - Ocho Rios, Jamaica. They have a private Island for au natural. Not sure if you can snorkel from there.
Hedonism - Jamaica
I found this thread for Jamaica. Maybe it will be of help:

I think the Breezes Rio Bueno is now defunct.
I found this company on Google. http://www.bareaffair.net/
There are several TA's out there that can help you find the type of resort you are looking for. There is a price for everything though, so that may be a deterring factor.
Try this link also. It's a list of clothing optional and nude resorts in the Caribbean and Mexico:

Hedonism II has two private stretches of beach, one nude, one not.
The following Water Sports are available.
Scuba diving, water-skiing, hobie cat, windsurfing school, sunfish, sailing, snorkeling, jacuzzis, nude Jacuzzi, glass-bottom boats, kayaks, three large freshwater pools, two with swim-up bars, one nude. Cascading plunge pools. Waterslide. Beachfront pool and swim-up bar.
My best advice is to call Hedonism (1-877-467-8737) and ask them about their arrangements for snorkeling.

Have you thought of the Dominican Republic? We've been to Punta Cana and Puerto Plata. Punta Cana is VERY European and we saw people standing on the beach and just changing their suits right in front of everyone. No one seemed to bat an eye at that. Plus, pretty much everyone topless with thongs. Not sure about the snorkelling though. The water there is very nice, but I don't know if you see much.
