Good vacation for couples?.....

My fiancee and a I are currently planning our honeymoon for Aug.2,2004. We are really looking for somewhere not too crowded that DOES NOT allow children. All inclusive would be nice but not at the risk of staying somwhere cheesy. I know that Sandals has some adult only properties but we have read mixed reviews about their resorts online. Please, if anyone has any good advice on where to go we would greatly appreciate it! So our criteria is:
a.On the beach
b.Adults only
c.Non-cheesy!
d.Not super expensive.
Anywhere tropical will do, we haven't made any specific plans yet so please let me know!

Look into Playa Del Carmen in Mexico. Also check out the Royal Hideaway Resort. Sounds like it would be just what you are looking for. Right on the beach, AI, not at all cheesey, no one under the age of 16 allowed, fairly responsible comparied to other 4-5 star resorts in the caribbean.

Swept Away Negril - now a Couples resort. One of the best beaches anywhere and definitely not cheesy.

Couples, Ocho Rios. Adults only, very relaxed, and not cheesy. If you go to couples.com you can check out all three of their resorts.

One usually gets what they pay for....Royal Hideaway...no question. Some of the cheaper AI'S will get you the cheese factor you are seeking to avoid.

Any of the three Couples resorts in Jamaica would meet your desire. We have been to Couples Negril and Swept Away and loved every minute of our trips.

Have you thought of Galley Bay in Antigua, couples only, no children, wonderful food, on the beach ? We stayed there last year with friends & had a great time.
