Did you get sick cruising the southern Caribbean?
I'm interested in hearing from folks who have cruised in the southern Caribbean to get a sense for how many people experience seasickness and to what degree (minimal, moderate, severe). Please include info as to whether or not you are prone to seasickness in your answer.

I cannot drive around the block, with someone else driving, withourt feeling queasy!!! But, I've been on two cruises, one from Florida, thru the Panama Canal, ending at Acapulco and have not felt seasick, except one day on a European cruise...and then, for a very short time. I did take wrist bands and pills and only took one pill and wore the bands most of the time...no problem.

I've been on three cruise, Western, Eastern and Southern, and I've only experienced slight seasickness on the Western cruise after two days at sea. I get motion sickness in the back seat of a car, back of an airplane or on a small boat if I go below deck and can't see the horizon.
I also totally avoid hurricane season, so I've never experienced much motion (Sept/Nov/Dec).

We went to the Southern Caribbean, on our first cruise. We brought along the patch, just in case. My husband was getting sea sick with it, our daughter refused it, and I never got to put it on. The modern ships have stabilizers, so you shouldn't feel the movement. I guess we are not suceptible to it.

I have been on 3 southern cruises and have been
seasick on every single one. It seems to effect
me the first night at sea - by the next afternoon
I'm better. My last cruise I used the seabands -
I don't know if they really worked, but I was so
afraid to take them off just in case I got seasick
again. I'm not prone to motion sickness. still
willing to go on another cruise for year 2000 - best
way to travel and see the islands.
