Cap Juluca Cancellation Policy?

Hoping someone can answer this for me...
We have decided on Cap Juluca for our honeymoon destination. I want to book today to secure our dates and Jr. Suite but here is my problem.
My FI is in Iraq and we always run the risk of his deployment being extended or his leave for our wedding/honeymoon getting cut short. Does anyone know Cap's cancellation policy? Any help is appreciated.

Oh, and do you think we made a good choice? I am going to book directly through Cap, can't seem to find a better deal on the web!
thank you!

The best thing to do is to talk to the hotel directly about the cancellation policy. They may agree to give you a credit if you have to cancel. Have you visited the hotel's website. That usually spells it out very clearly.

Cap's cancellation policy most of the year except Christmas is a refund 30 days prior to arrival date, after that it has to be in writing and sent to hotel. I would explain your situation to the hotel, for anything under the 30 days, that is your best solution. After all it is your honeymoon, and this is a special circumstance. Yes, it is a good choice! I always book thru the hotel! Their package deals are very good, but do try to dine out of the hotel as Anguilla has lots of nice beach restaurants all within a short ride from the hotel!

I would think that the hotel would make an exeption in your case regarding the cancellation policy. Personally, if they were not willing to make an exeption, I'd pick another place.

I'd also suggest getting travel insurance. Always a good idea for expensive trips, but in your case even more so.

Do not expect anyone to "make an exception" never assume when it comes to your hard earned $$. You can book thru a good wholesaler, like classic custom vacations with a land only, if you prefer. They have an excellent canellation and waiver policy and Cap is one of their properties. You can only book Classic thru a TA however. Do not drive yourself crazy looking for a better price for Cap, as it does not exist. The price for Cap is the same thru Classic, but you are protected thru their cancellation and waiver policy. you can go to www.ccv.com and look for info on this.

Also, check with the airlines regarding cancellation policy when a family member is in the military. My personal feeling is if a person is in the military and protecting the interests and safety of our country (and other countries also) airlines and hotels should bend over backwards.

Not to get into a political debate, but if terrorism increases to the point where people are terrified to fly or travel, then airlines and resorts won't have to worry about their cancellation policy. Not many people will travel.
