Anguilla: October 2013 Trip Report
My DH and I just returned from a 5 night trip. There were quite a few ups and downs, but overall it was another great trip. Because it's the off season, many of our favorite places were closed, so this was a chance for us to explore some new venues.
Here's a link to my full trip report, including lots of photos. This first installment is mostly dedicated to our travel day and the minutiae of our lovely villa, Sweet Return, in the Isaac's Cliff area of the island:

Here's the second part of my Anguilla trip report: time already feels like it's running out for this short visit: http://asthecrowefliesandreads.blogs...-part-two.html

Great report and beautiful pictures, as usual! I always look forward to reading your blogs. We will be there in April for the first time and hoping to love Anguilla as much as you do! Thanks for sharing!

I always love reading about your Anguilla trips. Is there one last installment? I need to see what you had for dinner on that last night! And where you went for lunch! We've always had good food at Tasty's. I'm glad you finally made it there. Stopping at Tasty's for breakfast on the way from the West End to Shoal Bay East is one of my favorite things.

Thanks, sharona. I've got a couple more updates to link to--it's just been a rough couple of weeks at home with no heat, only intermittent water & electricity, and intermittent internet/phone!

Jimmie, I hadn't thought of it that way, but you're right. Too bad I couldn't bring the better parts of the Caribbean life home with me!
Here is the net installment of my trip report, with our last day spent at Bonjour Cafe, Shoal Bay East, and dinner at Dolce Vita: http://asthecrowefliesandreads.blogs...ober-2013.html

Loved your report and photos.
Is that an almond croissant on your plate? I'm dying here!
We haven't been there in 8 or so years---it's kind of hard to get there, but we do remember gorgeous Shoal Beach East. We stayed at Shoal Bay Villas and had a balcony right on the sand for stunning views. It was next door to KU. Do you know what they are going to do with the KU property?
I understand your love of Anguilla and we hope to return one day.

Why yes, that was an almond croissant in the photo. Went back the next day to get another one, too!
Ku property is being gutted and transformed into something upscale, but it will be a long time coming. Manoah is currently the name of the beach bar there that rents chairs to visitors, but I don't know if that will be the name of the new hotel/resort.
