The Beaches - cafes, restaurants, playgrounds, interesting stores, boardwalk, beach, parks (I live here and I love it). Other places are the Danforth - Greek town, Spadian and Dundas - Chinatown. Toronto Island - massive park, get the ferry to it at the bottom of Bay (at Queens Quay), take the ferry to Wards Island, check out the neat artists' homes, then walk West, along the water or through the park over to Cetnre Island, you can have a picnic or a BBQ there.

You might only spend 1 day in Niagara Falls - 1/2 day at the Falls, 1/2 a day in Niagara on the Lake (depending on the 14 month old's nap schedule. Head to the Old Angle Inn for lunch or dinner - a great family pub with food and prices to suit everyone - that where we go when we visit. also might want to visit a winery, the 18 yr old would be able to taste test (so that should be enticing for him/her! We like Hillibrand a lot, mainstream, but interesting tour and decent/good wines to taste.

Sorry - also ment to say skip the zoo - very good one, but quite a distance from downtown and if you only have 2 days in Toronto, focus on easy to access places - you can get a Metro Pass for the family for the day (18 yrs might not qualify), it would help in moving about the city.

There's not much anywhere for tiny kids; mostly they don't care where they are.

Two Toronto exceptions.

The little kid will love the Children's Own Museum, next door to the Royal Ontario Museum, on Queen's park, just south of Bloor Street West and Avenue Road interesction.

Anbd mini-kid will love the park with the big rock, behind the Chapters book store on Bloor Street West, just east of Avenue Road. The park is actually on Cumberland Avenue, and has a rock to climb, paths to toddle along, and strange plants to look at.

BAK
