Blue Jays Game - Where to sit?

Hi. Am traveling with husband and 4 sons - all die-hard baseball fans. Of course, we will go to a Blue Jays game. But 6 tickets can be rather pricy. From the map of the stadium, the Sky Deck Bases area looks similar to the Sky Deck Baselines are, but with a big discrepency in price. Where should we sit? Can you see from the Sky Deck area? Is there any reason to pay for the Baselines area? Also, can we get tickets the day of the game, or does the stadium sell out? Thanks for your input!
- Andrea

Hi Andrea - The Skydeck area is really high - the times I've sat there I feel like I'm watching a game from the Goodyear Blimp. In that sense, I'm not sure there's enough difference in quality between the "Sky Deck Bases" and "Sky Deck Baseline" to justify the higher price.

Which game are you considering attending? Attendance hasn't been great this year, but it is picking up now the Jays are doing well. If it's a team like the Yankees - it might sell out (or come close), but for most other teams you'll probably be able to get tickets the same day. Also, the scalpers have been forced to sell below cost (that makes me happy!) so that's another option.

Go Jays Go!

Thanks for the tips, Elizabeth. In your opinion, what is the highest area where you can see without needing binoculars? We are going to be in Toronto the week the Blue Jays are playing Anaheim (not exactly the Yankees). The Blue Jays are really hot this year, but I suspect the Anaheim game will not be well attended.

Go Yankees!

Andrea:

If you want to realy enjoy the game, I'd suggest you go for the better seats low down. The best in the house are under $45 each CDN, and scalpers are always outside the stadium selling them for quite a bit less than that(depending on who's playing). The cheap seats are too high for me...I like to be down near the field, and the Skydome is BIG! The nosebleed seats are really high up.

Enjoy!

Scott

Scott:

They aren't scalpers if they are selling the tickets for less than face value.

What is the reason for the decline in attendance at the Blue Jay's games?

Hello, and Thank You, all, for your input. We just got back from a WONDERFUL vacation in Toronto. What a nice city! We did make it to a Blue Jays Game, and chose not the best seats, but reasonably good seats, and really enjoyed the game. I think the upper deck would have been fine, but the kids really liked being right on top of the action! Unfortunately the Blue Jays lost, but it was fun anyway.
