Know a good tour trip?

Planning to go to Australia, New Zealand, and, perhaps Fiji.Have about 25 days to spend in those places. Have read brochures for Tauck Tours and Collette Tours. Will be flying out of San Francisco or L. A. Has anyone taken one of these tours or does someone have a better group? Do not wish to drive or launch out onto our own. It is difficult to compare prices as the inclusion/exclusion of airfares and meals cause it to be confusing. Any ideas would be GREATLY appreciated.

Hi, We are interested in the same topic. However, I would like to know an opinion about Overseas Adventure Travel as well as Tauck.

Try Australian Pacific Tours. We did New Zealand-Australia with them and they are wonderful. First class all the way.

We really like OAT and have traveled with them and have two more trips planned this year - Egypt and India.

We like it because you do more; you're on the go and the groups are only 12-16 in really nice comfortable buses and very nice accommodations. Most meals are included in the third world countries and we like that. Outstanding guides.

My husband talked me into a tour of Australia only leaving next week - with Collette. I've asked for feedback and no response. It looks like a comprehensive tour of Australia but so far we can't rave about the service. We booked in March 2007 and they assigned us the worst seats on the plane - don't recline. We're very unhappy about that and other areas where there is no response. Of course, it's paid in full $$$$.

We are spoiled by Grand Circle and OAT.

With a big group - 40 or more on the bus with Collette you are limited as to what you can see. We just don't enjoy the herding anymore after OAT.

If interested in hearing about Collette in Australia (and they cover other countries down that way as well) check back with me direct upon our return Feb 25th.

My best advice is to book OAT. If you book by Feb 15th they are offering a savings of $200 off per person. If you don't have a referral, my referral number is VLBL008-MURPHY with OAT.

I'm so disappointed we are not going with OAT!!!!

WE did Tauck's Grand Australia/NZ tour starting December 10 and had a ball. Would recommend highly! the quality of the tour leader, places visited and quality of accomodations, experiences, and events made it worth every penny!
