Westin Osaka to Kensai airport - quickest way ?

Westin Osaka to Kensai airport - quickest way ?
Staying one night in Osaka at the Westin after 5 days in Kyoto. Return flight leaves Osaka at 10AM. What is fastest way to get to airport and what time should we leave the Osaka Westin? What is the quickest way go to Westin Osaka from Kyoto? For just 1 evening in Osaka, what should we do? Thank you.

If you are staying at the Westin Osaka just for airport access it's not worth it at all. It will be easier for you to either take a limo bus from your Kyoto hotel (if there is one that picks up there early enough) or take a taxi to Kyoto station and then the Limited Express Haruka right to KIX.
From the Westin, you need an early limo bus (not that much shorter time on the bus than from Kyoto either) or a taxi to the station (can't really walk there easily if you have bags), then either a somewhat local train from there, or go to Shin Osaka station, where you can then connect with the Haruka.
In all honesty, I'd just stay in Kyoto and waste the time moving hotels...you'll spend much more time doing that than you will save. If you want to save time, stay at the airport, not over an hour away, which the Westin is.

Thanks Kim Japan. Unfortunately, we couldn't get an extra night in Kyoto and thus had to resort to Osaka thinking that it would be closer to Kensai.. I guess we just have to get up real early in the morning. Let me see if I can get a last minute hotel room at the Kensai airport..

Thanks KimJapan for all your valuable advice.. I managed to get into Nikko at the Kensai Airport instead of Westin. I trust it should be fine. Any thing interesting happening at the airport?

Kansai airport itself is not very interesting I don't think...the usual range of shops and restaurants that you can find in airports. Nearby (train goes there) is Rinku town, where there is an outlet mall, which might be interesting. You can see it from the train so it's easy to find. I've never shopped there, but know others who like it.
You might just spend your day in Kyoto and make your way to the hotel at the airport after dinner. That might be what I would do, although there are some good (but not great) restaurants in the airport and they aren't badly priced.
