Thailand

My husband and I are looking for full spa retreat in Bangkok, Chiangmai or Phuket. Any suggestions? We don't want to stay in a hotel which has a spa outlet to attend to clients; but more like a retreat where it includes, doctor checkuup, all meals and therapies- like Chiva Som which, unfortunately, is too expensive and have to travel another nearly 3 hrs south of Bangkok. I searched Chiangmai but cant find what I like. Anyone have experience/ reviews to share with us?. Appreciate your help.

I don't know of any resort like the Chiva Som and from the advice given above by qwo - non of those resorts are anything close to what you want.

For Bangkok, although not a full spa resort like the Chiva Som, I've friends who tried out the medical spa on the outskirt of Bangkok. Perhaps this is what you want: http://www.stcarlos.com/Eng/web/spa.php

There are spa resorts like the Soneva Kiri, very expensive, but still I don't think it's like the Chiva Som. http://www.sixsenses.com/soneva-kiri/Guest-Services.php

From Google I've found the Tao Garden in Chiang Mai but I have not heard of it before. Perhaps you can do more research on it.

Good luck and perhaps somebody more knowledgeable will join in.

Lotus resort on Koh Tao is a budget bungalows place, some of the rooms have just a fan, it has nothing what you are after, strange suggestions (?)

Not going to be what you are looking for, Villa Zolitude is nothing like what you are looking for, it is inland from Chalong in Southeast Phuket and has villas, but there is no health spa etc.

Anyway for "doctor check-up, all meals and therapies" I can't help much, as you already know Chiva Som would come to mind but is expensive as you know.

I am sure others have suggestions.

Closest I can think of to what you are looking for, in Chiang Mai the Jirung

This is a 4 night package which includes a lot:

Accommodation good too - sounds like it may well suit what you are seeking
