Sports Bar in Hong Kong near Courtyard
In my never-ending quest to have the least possible meaning in my life, it would be helpful if someone could direct me to a place at which I can watch a football (the real kind) game that is being played at 4:15 pm EDT on Sept. 19.2010. I know this requires a place that is open in the wee hours of Monday morning Sept 20, 2010 in Hong Kong. Help please, otherwise I might end up having a productive day on Monday. Please keep me from that fate.

The news is not good. I don't believe that the CBS game is picked up by a satellite feed, but I hope I'm wrong.
Dan Ryan's is an American-themed sports bar (most of the others in town are more British-themed) in Pacific Place, but there's no chance that it'd be open at 4.15am. This is also the place you'll want to head if you feel the need for a good burger and fries.
I haven't been there, but there is a sports bar in the Panda Hotel - http://www.pandahotel.com.hk/en/restaurants/sports.asp . Closes at 1am though.
Don't despair though. It's not going to be a great game. The Jets are unhappy fellows. They played a horrible game on Monday, and they still only lost by 1 pt to a very, very good team. They're going to be able to put far more pressure on Brady than did Cincinnati, and they're going to be able to run the ball vs NE much better than vs Balto.

Patriots-Jets at 4:15 AM in Hong Kong on a Monday morning? From the now-tv website, it WILL be shown on the ALL SPORTS NETWORK. Note that if you arrive 3 hours earlier you can catch the Yankees-Orioles game as well and it will be a MUCH more productive day for you and Beth.

Have you checked with the Courtyard at to whether they subscribe to now-tv and to channel 680? If they do, they may be showing it on the TV in the executive lounge, or may do so if you ask. Now-tv appears to be re-running the game at 4:30 am on Wednesday Sept 22 as well. You could also have the Courtyard check with the JW Marriott and the Renaissance Harbour View to see if there is a possibility of watching it there.
I would not bother trying with any bars, because other than some rather insalubrious places like Joe Bananas in Wan Chai which are open virtually 24 hours, most bars in Hong Kong close around 2-3 am, so even if you found a sports bar which has US sports, I don’t think it would be open. Dan Ryan’s closes at midnight.
And Joe Bananas at 4 am would not really be a place you want to be unless you want to pick up some female entertainment. (Check with Beth first of course.)
I would invite you to my house, but I will be in Vietnam, and in any event don’t subscribe to that channel.

When I lived in Hong Kong the American Club (in Central and TaiTam)used to organize showing of U.S. sports events at odd hours. It's a private club but has a long list of reciprical club partners that you may belong to.
