Singapore to Thailand package tours?
Hi there...does anyone have any experience on booking package tours from Singapore to Thailand? Do you recall which companies you used? Good or bad experiences?
My friend and I are trying to book a trip from Singapore to Thailand - hoping to do a combination Bangkok and resort place for four or five nights. If you have any suggestions, I'd be very appreciative.
Thanks!

I don't know why you would need a package tour for this, It is exceptionally easy to arrange on your own. What kind of resort are you looking for? Beach? Mountains? Tell us what you are interested in and I'm sure we can help.

Thanks, Kathie. Ideally, we'd like to do two or three nights in Bangkok and then make our way to a beach area. We'd just like to sit back and relax, and go to some place sort of tropical. Perhaps a spa?
I had heard that there were tour groups that do these kinds of packages, but we really are open to anything. Thanks!

A tour group will be more expensive and won't give you flexibility.
When are you going? That makes a difference in terms of which beach area to recommend.
What is your budget per night for hotels? That will give us an idea of what places to recommend.

Misa Travel and most of the Singapore travel companies operate packages, many including transfers, tours etc, you would see them in the travel section of the local press., many include some tours.
Are you base din Singapore ? if so check the local press.
Tiger, Valuair/Jetstar have cheap flights, you can fly to bangkok, use a budget carrier down to Phuket or krabi and then budget back to Singapore. or you can fly straight into Phuket ( up to 5 flights per day ) and then do a budget flight from there to Bangkok and back to Singapore.
You can fly non stop from Singapore to: Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket, Krabi, Surat Thani, Hat Yai and from January to Udon Thai ( with Tiger )
It's easy to do on your own but if you are looking for something packaged then it's big business from Singapore and most of not all the agents offer such arrangements.
I've used Misa over the years for tickets and they have been just fine.

Another option if you had the time would be one of the Star cruises, if you like cruises.
You can also do fly/cruise, one way by air and other by ship

But there are plenty of others who do the same.

Why in the world would you want a packaged tour between Singapore and Bangkok? I go to both places regularly. You go to Singapore and do it on your own with a good guide book and then fly to Bangkok...a little over 2 hours and do Bangkok and whatever else you want to do in Thailand. I've never gone on a packaged tour and I first did three weeks alone back in the 90s through S.E.Asia. Happy Travels!

Thanks very much for all of the helpful advice and web sites.
I will be in Singapore for a friend's wedding around Christmas. We will be there for a week and have plans to visit all of the "highlights" - Little India, night safari, orchid garden, Sentosa, etc., and are planning to do these on our own and with friends who live in Singapore.
For Thailand, I appreciate the helpful web sites as well...and it seems like it'd be easy to do get an inexpensive flight to Bangkok and do our own thing at a resort. Any favorites or stand outs among the resort areas? (For two or three days in early January, and for about $125 USD a night?)
Thanks again.
