Is 1 hr 10 min layover in Narita enough?
We are flying to Taiwan and the most economical option has a 1 hr 10 min layover in Narita. We will be switching planes but on the same airline (Japan airlines) from LAX -> Narita -> TPE. Is that reasonable?? It will be my husband, me and 20-month old baby (will babywear), bags checked, no stroller or car seat.

I assume this is all on one ticket - that you didn't buy the second leg separately. If it is all on one ticket, you should be fine. Narita is a very efficient airport. You will pass through security after disembarking your flight, but that usually doesn't take long.
If something went awry and you missed your flight to Taipei, the airline would take care of you and get you on the next flight to Taipei.
Enjoy your trip.

I normally have a two hour connection in Narita, but I always go to the United or ANA lounge to get a shower and a snack to eat. Have never had a problem. I'd try and have your toddler use the bathroom before your flight lands so you can wait until you're through security. Aalso keep up a brisk pace in the airport so that you get in the security line before the rest of the people on your flight.pace in the

We had about 1 1/2 hrs between Arita and Osaka connections and had plenty of time to spare. And that was with having to go through customs. Since you are flying internationally, you probably do not have to go through customs so it seems fine to me.
