Hotel in Zhuzhou

I posted this earlier but had no responses, so I'll try once more.

I have several questions concerning my planned trip next April; I'll post them separately, but the itinerary is relevant to each. After lots of helpful comments on my previous draft this is my present draft itinerary:

29-Mar-12, Brisbane to Hong Kong, Qantas, 2 nights
31-Mar-12, Hong Kong To Guangzhou, T train, 1 night
1-Apr-12, Guangzhou To Zhuzhou, G train 2 nights
3-Apr-12, Zhuzhou To Hangzhou, D106/107, 3 nights
6-Apr-12, Hangzhou To Suzhou, Boat?, 3 nights
9-Apr-12, Suzhou To Shanghai, G or D train, 3 nights
12-Apr-12, Shanghai To Beijing, G train 6 nights
18-Apr-12, Beijing To Pingyao, D & K Trains, 2 nights
20-Apr-12, Pingyao To Xian K689, 3 nights
23-Apr-12, Xian To Guilin, Air 3 nights
26-Apr-12, Guilin To Kuala Lumpur, AirAsia, 2 nights
28-Apr-12, Kuala Lumpur To Brisbane, Malaysian

I have booked only the flight to Hong Kong, the flight home from KUL and the hotel for the first two nights so far. Most of the remainder I intend to book as I travel to allow for flexibility of periods of stay in each place, but there a couple of places with special needs. My only language is English.

The hotel I select in Zhuzhou is vital, because D106/107 is the only fast D train to Hangzhou each day, so I need a hotel whose staff can communicate well in English and who can guarantee purchase of the rail tickets for me in advance. The best choice for locality looks to be the Ambassador, but I can only find one review in English. I will be emailing them before I consider booking, but I would appreciate comments from anyone who has stayed at that hotel or who has suggestions for other appropriate ZhuZhou hotels.

TIA, Alan, Australia.

No need to repost. You can just top your previous post. But ZhuZhou is not a popular tourist (or business) destination for foreigners, so I highly doubt you'll get a response here.

'guarantee purchase of the rail tickets for me in advance. '
There are no possible 'guarantees' in China. Except that if traveling before/during/after the Spring Holiday (Chinese New Year) in China by rail, I will risk a guarantee and advise you that you will be disappointed greatly.

Yes, there is guarantee. Pay enough money, and you can get things done.

That's why I included an itinerary above. As far as I am aware I will be a couple of months after Chinese new Year. The only national festival should be Qingming around 4-5 April when I will be in the Hangzhou/Suzhou region with many trains daily on the routes I am looking at.

On the itinerary I listed, do you see any significant problems booking rail tickets?

Alan, Australia.
