Happy Birthday to our on-the-spot Thai reporter!
I just learned that it is Hanuman's birthday. Actually, (because of the time difference) it must have been July 21, as he was out celebrating last night.
Happy Birthday Pook!

Wow thank you all for the birthday greetings! Had a lot of fun even if the traffic was very bad yesterday.
The restaurant is the 4Garcons. French home cook food which we found quite good. Not much of a web site - www.4garcons.com

That fits - Man walked on the Moon on the same day. Another triumph for mankind, eh Hanuman? Belated best wishes.
I really appreciated being able to read up-to-the-minute first hand accounts of how the events in BKK unfolded, and was very moved by your story & photos of the clean-up.

I'll second that, Bokhara2. It was, indeed, very moving. It's great to see Bangkok back to 'normal' other than the remnants of burned out buildings. Most people I have encountered here seem settled back into their normal routines.
