Experience using River Mekong or SST travel agencies?
We are planning our first trip to Myanmar for January 2014, and have been corresponding with several Myanmar travel agencies. The two travel agencies that have been the most responsive to our requests for a nature/birding oriented trip have been River Mekong and SST. Anyone used either one of these agencies? Thank you.

I don't know either one of these agencies. Can you give us the websites for them ? (When I google, I get so much junk I can't find them.) For me, one of the most important criteria is that they are a Myanmar agency, not a general SE Asia agency that has an office in Yangon so will also book Burma. The name River Mekong makes me suspect they are a VN agency also booking Burma. In the experience of many, using agencies not based in Burma results in significantly higher prices.

Here is a website listing travel agents in Burma:

I don't know if it is meant to be exhaustive, but I don't see either one of these agencies listed.
