That hotel was a Marriott until about a year ago. It is a nice hotel, not really a good location for a tourist (or if you have business in say the Connaught area), as it is rather far from most tourist sites. Otherwise, perfectly fine hotel. Rooms are a little on the small side, but fine. If given a choice, I would take a room not facing the street just to avoid noise, although it is not a main road and it not really noisy in any event, IMO.
If you have Sheraton points and are trying to use them, a better location would be The Mauyra (which I have erroneously indicated in some recent posts is no longer a Sheraton, it is, it is just a Luxury Collection now). This is in a much better location for a tourist or even for business depending on where you need to be.

Thanks Cicerone, I was looking for a hotel in south Delhi so that we would have a shorter drive to the airport in the morning for a 9:00am flight. I think The Grand is closed for renovations. I was not able to reach them. So I will report back on how this Sheraton is. On my way into India, I am staying at the Oberoi....which is hands down my favorite hotel in Delhi.

if it's just a short night stay, why not use the uppal's orchid ? its hardly 10-15 minutes to the airport and they will arrange the transfer too. radission is also there,10 minutes, but dangerously close to the fly-over which has been built recently.

We had a BAD experience at Uppal Orchid. We had a very early flight, they wouldn't let us check out because they wanted to charge us for using a laptop in our room (we had NO laptop); the shuttle to the airport did not arrive until the very last minute and we almost missed our flight to London; and the shuttle was NOT FREE as they had led us to believe.
