2 Weeks to visit Thailand and 2more countries

Jump to last reply

My husband and I are hoping to travel to Asia on October 15 for two weeks, can possibly be extended to 3. Thailand is at the top of my list as I have always dreamed about visiting, but we also would like to see one or two other countries. I was hoping to visit Indonesia and Vietnam, but it seems that it would make more sense to see Cambodia.

We like to do outdoor activities, so we are interested in hiking and seeing things off the beaten path, we like culture and food.

We hope to fly quite a bit to get to destinations to save time, but I'm not sure if that will take away a lot of the scenery worth seeing.

The more I research Thailand the more confused I am as to where to start!
I can't decide if the north is better option than the south, what do you guys suggest? We love beaches, but I'm worried since we're going in October it may rain a lot, and if we can do a beach in another country I am okay with that.

Does anybody have any ideas on itineraries and what is worth seeing and what neighboring countries would be great to see? We want to see as much as possible but we also don't want to overdo it and rush to see too much.
Ultimately we want to choose places that will have great weather (not too much rain) and where we can absorb as much of the culture as possible.

We are flying from YYZ, any suggestions on best connectors? We might spend a few days here too.

Thanks!
Any help is great! We are starting the planning a bit late and Im so overwhelmed!
