I have never flown Ryanair

Can someone give me insight and an overview of how to successfully fly Ryanair. What to do ahead of time, i.e., boarding passes, seat assignments, luggage restrictions. Anything you could share so there are no surprises. What about arrival at the airport and the check in process, need help with that too. We are flying Paris/Beauvais to Dublin. Thank you.....

Oh - and Beauvais is NOWHERE near Paris. Do you know how you are getting there?

In other words, read the website instructions and follow them. That includes always performing all the in-line duties they suggest. And remember that whatever criticisms you hear, more people fly Ryanair in Europe than any other line. You only get what you pay for -- but you do get that value.

We have used Ryanair several times.
Read every single thing on the website. Every rule is there. Luggage, time, etc. Believe it. Follow it.

Check the calendar for the best prices, etc. Sometimes the price will be low, but taxes high, so a higher price on a different day might be better.

Note exactly where the airports they use are located and how you will get to your actual destination. Ryanair can be a good value, but sometimes the added cost of getting from some outlaying airport into the city is so much that it costs less to fly a different airline to the city airport.

A good example is Frankfurt Germany and Frankfurt Hahn. The Frankfurt airport is the major airport with easy access to the city. Frankfurt Hahn is the airport used by Ryanair, and is nowhere near the main Frankfurt airport. So far, several trips and considering transport to Hahn, we have never found it cheaper to use Ryanair when going in or out of Frankfurt area.
