Flight insurance on Jet Blue

I am considering buying flight insurance for a flight that I am about to purchase. However, on the Jet Blue site, all it says is that I would:
"Get reimbursed up to 100% of cancelled trip costs due to covered injury, illness, or other covered reasons"
I am assuming the phrase "Covered...illness" has to do with a pre existing condition.
Does anyone have any experience with what this means when used by Jet Blue? As far as I can see, there are no definitions on their website.

You need to read about the policy. There is information on the JetBlue web site (the policies are from Allianz). In most cases, pre-existing conditions are covered only if you buy insurance at or shortly after the time of booking. But every policy is different, and you have to read the fine print.

I never book insurance from the same place I book the airline ticket. You can use a source like SquareMouth.com to compare insurance policies and get the one that's best for you, but you do have to read the fine print if you want to be sure you are covered for a specific issue. Call them directly if you need more information.

Thank you Doug.
I didn't see anything on the jet blue site referencing exclusions.
If I called Allianz I would need to ask for the specific coverage exclusions regarding jet blue policies.
As somewhat of a consumer advocate, I think jet blue could do a much better job of setting out their insurance requirements; They want your money and tell you that you are covered for covered illnesses but don't tell you what their exclusions are.
They have a contractual relationship with Allianz, it would be helpful if they had a link to it when a consumer is asked to make a decision.
