In Sept. I am using my AA FF miles to fly from YYZ to LHR. I have never flown business class before and going over the plane will be a 763 and coming back a 777. Is there a lot of difference, size/configuration between Club exec. and first class and/or the two planes? The seating plan I looked at one the BA website looked like they were the new kind that face each other. Anyone out there who can fill me in?

Business class on BA is very nice. The seats recline, almost all the way, and have dividers that screen you from who ever is in the other one. It is really very private. Nice restful experience as opposed to cattle class.

I have flown business class in BA and it was teriffic. The food and service in business class are extraordinary. Be sure to use the lounge while waiting for your flight, and when going through customs, you can get into the "fast track" line, which will mean less waiting. The only thing I didn't like was being in a backward facing seat. But that's a minor complaint, I would do it again if I could.

Read my response to the other thread with this title. I would pick the center seats on the 767 as the window seat occupant is trapped and the curve of the fuselage makes the climb-over very hard for non-gymnasts. The seats recline all the way to "flat beds" albeit narrow and not long enough for pax over 6' to stretch out.

The BA lounge is called "Terraces" and there's one at YYZ and two of them in Terminal 4 at LHR. Show your boarding pass to get in. In addition - and this is a biggie - there's a "landside" (i.e. after customs/bag claim) "arrivals lounge" in Terminal 4 at LHR. It's open till 2 pm (I recall if you're on the 767 you arrive around noon) and you can get food, drinks (including alcohol if you want it) and a hot shower (in wonderful shower rooms.) There is also plenty of secure bag storage for your stuff. REALLY helps after an all-nighter, and makes the trip into town much more tolerable

When you're returning, go to the lounge "pavillion" at T4 Gate 10, where there's a branch of the Molton Brown spa that you can use as a Club World passenger. Sign up as soon as you arrive for a massage or other treatments, have a drink or a light meal, and enjoy the facilities. I'm no fan of T4, but the M-B spa and the BA lounges are very good there.

(BTW there's a branch of the M-B spa at the Arrivals lounge, but it will be shut by the time you'd get there.)

To get into the lounge, just show your business class boarding pass. I don't know about the lounge in your home city's airport, but I've been to the one at London a couple of times. It has free food, drinks (both soft and something stronger) showers, internet, and just a quiet, relaxed environment. Check this out from BA's web page.

On T4 MB Spa, I never seem to be ableo to book a treatment slot for some reason... Their list seems completely blocked unless you arrive full 2hrs in advance (I usually try to minimise the time spent at airports), and they don't have a phone # to take reservation. Do you have any tricks to get the actual treatments? Just wondering... Thx.

<b>W9London</b>, I don't know. To be truthful, it's only my spouse who's been massaged etc. at M-B, and she's never had to wait more than (I think) an hour or so. Probably just lucky, or make that unlucky because we have so much time between flights. Dunno. Me, I just go for the (quite wonderful IMO) showers and let the hot water do the massaging.

You might want to go to the BA website and find out what movies they are playing. I would suggest researching the movies. With 20 channels to choose from, one doesn't want to spend all of their time surfing the channels.
