At the Smartium link I gave, click on the Serviced Routes tab and see that ICN-ORD is not on the list.
I found a 3-year old article saying that a new 777-200 with Quadra Smartium seats would fly ICN-ORD. That didn't happen or it was short-lived.
I thought that ICN-NRT might have the Smartium seats. It doesn't but ICN-KIX does. I will have to find out if it connects with LAX-ICN.

And my 3-year old trip report, was in F on a 747:

Once again thank you. We had dinner last night with friends who flew Asiana with this route and they did not have QS seats last mo. That's too bad but really for us it's ok as the service is great and their other biz seats aren't that bad, just not as good. We fly ANA to SIN and theirs do go lie flat and its a cool design too.

Kathie according to the link above neither ORD or SEA has the new QS seats. They have them for ICN to Osaka and to HCMC which I find weird as those are much shorter flights than to where you and I live. I would think the QS seats would be more appropriate for longer flights.

I read on Flyertalk that there was no plan to install the QS on all aircraft but UAL has put lie flat on all planes for biz class so I don't know why OZ would not do the same just to keep up with industry standards especially for a 5* rated airline.

Having those seats on ICN-KIX or ICN-SGN is more about having the same type of service for pax connecting from the other cities (LAX,SFO,JFK,LHR). You can have a Smartium seat from London to ICN to Osaka. I get the same type of seat from LAX-ICN-KIX and am sitting next to you. And that plane that flies Osaka-ICN is probably not just going back to Osaka. It might collect pax connecting from JFK/LHR/LAX and taking them to HCMC. Or flies KIX-ICN-JFK.

Hello Jacketwatch. I am sorry if I am hi-jacking your thread but I don't know how else to get in touch with you re:your tour guide in Israel. I found your info on another thread. Would you please share the name of your travel guide in Israel? Many thanks. Pbgenn at AOL dot com. Again, so sorry for butting in.
