AA FF can now book BA FF on AA.com

Maybe this is old news to you but you can now book frequent flier tickets on line at AA.com even for itineries which include British Airways (Alaska Airways and Hawaiian Airways too). This is great news for those of us who are always planning our next trip. You can see what's available, plan alternatives, put on hold and don't necessarily have to bother an agent. Yeah!

Just be sure you're sitting down when the final screen comes along showing you the charge for "taxes and fees." Ouch!

Don't spend your AA or BA FF miles on flights to Europe or Asia- use them for hotel stays- its a far better deal. I won't pay those outragous fees they are charging to use ff miles for Europe or Asia. Go United they only charge about $50 which is reasonable!

Don't know about that ... just spent 110K AA miles (and $110.10 T&F) for a business class RT from Florida to Vietnam. My preferred dates (June), too. It's a lot better than Delta!

It may be that going economy is where theses airlines screw their frequent flyers. There have been numerous reports of such gouging on other forums. It seems BA has a bad reputation in this regard and now AA seems to have picked up this bad habit as well.

I wish that AA would be able to help you switch seats on full fare tickets on their codeshare/alliance airlines-what a pain!
