Safari company

Would appreciate any comments about Lion World Tours or 2Afrika safaris to Botswana or Tanzania.

Hi Helemu,

I do not know much about 2Afrika but I am very familiar with Lion World. They are an extremely reputable competitor of my company. I would highly recommend them.

They are based in Toronto and about two years ago they were awarded the contract for South African Airways Vacations (SAA Vacations). The previous contract holder was Karell Travel in Miami.

I believe 2Afrika is based in South Africa.

My husband and I have now returned from our 2Afrika trip to Botswana/Namibia /Zimbabwe and one night in South Africa. We had a great time and met many interesting and wonderful people, and loved the Chobe Safari Lodge as well as the Safari Club in Jo’burg. Everything worked out very well and the only problem was that we had to return from our trip! The only change we made to the planned itinerary was we upgraded our last Boat Safari from a group trip to a 3 hour private one so that we could see only the things that we wanted to focus on and it was an incredible excursion. We will definitely be using 2Afrika’s services again in the future. They are based in New York.

As Lisa35 mentions, 2Afrika is located in New York City, but owned and operated by a South African.

Here is a 2nd hand report I did about a former co-worker who used Lion World. The last time I saw her, she was encouraging a "cruiser" to abandon ship and go on safari. A couple years later and still singing the praises of her Lion World trip is a good sign.
