Egypt - Lady Egypt Tours

Just went to Egypt & decided to do something custom made I had heard great things about Lady Egypt Tours so went on their website & their response to my query was so fast.
My trip there was really memorable & the staff were awesome & extremely knowledgable.
I coudn't have had a less stress free fun time than I did & get so see some of the most amazing sites in the world.
I highly recommend these guys from the pick up @ the airport to the places that I stayed & the amazing sights that I saw I couldn't have asked for better.

We are heading to Jordan and Egypt next Jan/Feb. After reading so many great reports we decided to book our tours with Lady Egypt.

We were extremely delighted at the quick response. After brief emails, they provided us with a recommended itinerary that was perfect. This is our first trip to Jordan/Egypt and Mohamed has been fantastic at responding to our questions.

We highly recommend them based on their customer service!

Can't wait to actually get on the plane and start this holiday

Cheers

Steve

HiQueenybaby,
Please write a trip report and tell us all about it -- what you like and what you wish would have been different. It will help us so much as we plan our trips.

SteveW - Answering e-mails quickly is far different from excuting a fantastic trip. Please write again and give us a full report when you get home. We dare not pick a travel company based upon prompt e-mails to you, especially when Lady Egypt as been so slow in responding to other people.

We just got back from a Lady egypt tour and everything was just perfect. We spent 3 nights in Cairo, flew to Aswan, went to Abu Simbel for the morning, felucca ride, 3 nights on the cruise visiting Kom Ombo and Edfu, and then seeing all the sights at Luxor. Everything from the guide to the drivers was all taken care of. Having the guide expalin everything added so much value tot he entire trip. We had great weather (Nov 17-25). We are also vegetarian and had absolutely no problems.

This is all great information! Can anyone give me an idea of about how much the Lady Egypt Tour cost? I know they have a few different options but I'm trying to get a ballpark figure to see if I would be able to fit it into my trip to Zanzibar. Thanks!

Hiya all,

Sorry for the delay in responding to your comments!

The costs can vary as to what you want to do I would contact the company directly for $$$ as i'm sure they could do something with any budget!

I had a few guides Mohammed in Cairo he was very good with his historical knowledge & his english was excellent he had a great sense of humour to deal with our many & varied questions. Then it was Ahmed in Aswan & Luxor who was also very knowledgeable & helpful. I could not have asked for better guides.

I am sorry as a first time poster I was not sure on how to post & I would hate for you to think that my post was not real.

I did a 14 day tour of Cairo, Aswan, Luxor & Dahab. Starting in Cairo went to the museum & saw the pyramids in Giza & Saqqara. Then on an overnight sleeper train to Aswan. (Make sure you get in your loo break early on as the they can get quite foul by the end of the trip! ) On arrival into Aswan we jumped on a bus & went to Philae Temple & the high dam & the rest of the day was spent on the 5 star cruise boat which had a great little bar & freezing cold pool on the top deck. The next day we we're up early for our flight to Abu Simbel which for me was the highlight of the whole trip! To get your head around that they moved this whole temple from it's original spot is just amazing.

The next couple of days were spent cruising up the Nile & stopping @ various temples along the way. We finished up in Luxor & stayed in a great hotel called the Sonesta St George that is right on the Nile & has a wicked pool. Because I went on the 5 star cruise boat I missed going on a felucca so hired one out from the hotel & spent the arvo lazing & being served Egyptian tea. Got some great photos of the sunset over the water.

In the morning we flew to Sharm el Sheikh to make our way to Dahab.

On arrival in Dahab we went to a place called the blue hole to snorkle & relax for the day.

There are some great restaurants along the main drag. Unfortunately I can't remember the names of them.

The next day we went out quad biking which was a hoot. That night in bed early to get up @ an ungodly hour to go climb Mt Sinai & spend the early hours of the morning on top of the mountain. It is a huge climb/walk but worth it to see the sun rise over the mountains. On the way down visited the St Catherines Monastery. Saw what the christians believe is the burning bush.

The rest of the time was spent lazing around the hotel pool & checking out the shops.

We came back to Cairo & did the city tour which took us out to the Coptic Christian & Islamic area including the citadel. We also went to the Khan el Khalili markets which were awesome. In the markets don't negotiate with the vendor unless you want to buy the item as they can get quite cranky if you don't then buy the item. Bargaining plays a big part in the way that you buy things in Egypt in general & can be alot of fun. Mohammed was great cause he told us a round about price for what you should pay for items so you knew if you were being taken for a ride or not.

If i can give any advise it would be to never drink the local water, ALWAYS have loo paper & a small amount of change in your pocket! Hoard those 1 pound notes!

As i said in my previous post I would highly recommend Lady Egypt tours & the lady that I corresponded & made my booking with was Sarah. She was very flexible & patient with our millions of questions & constant changes of itinerary. She was very knowledgeable which helped shape the way we wanted to go.

I hope that this was more helpful

@Kodi4me We understand answering emails is different from the real deal. However most who post here have had very good luck with LE. Answering emails is step 1 of customer service. I can tell you that when we first started searching there are other companies who didn't reply at all or had many excuses about wanting to get back to us later and actually failed to do so.

We will post a trip report but it won't be until mid march after our return.

Happy New Year

<<<Answering emails is step 1 of customer service. I can tell you that when we first started searching there are other companies who didn't reply at all>>>

That was how/why we ended up with Lady Egypt, too. We were in a bit of a bind, having to plan our entire trip, for 6 people, 3 of whom were to arrive from Ethiopia, and 3 from California, less than two months before departure (long story). I wrote to a variety of companies and individuals recommended on this board. Lady Egypt was the most prompt and thorough. AND their execution was outstanding!
