day trip fes to chefchaouen

any idea on the cost of a driver for the day to go from fez to chefchaouen? could the drive be done in 2 1/2 hours? was thinking of switching this out for my current day trip to menkes any thoughts I think photo wise chef would be more intense but I would check the weather to make sure it's a nice day before driving.

Chaouen is a village. Not much to see. Meknes is a city. I'd go to Meknes and Volubilis.

No idea, but I would take a grand taxi rather than a private car with driver. Much cheaper. Not so long ago there was an article in the NYT on visiting Chaouen. Perhaps cost was mentioned there. Have a look.

I have a feeling I've answered this on either TA or LP, but Fez to Chefchaouen is a good four hour journey. No way can you do it in two and a half hours.

Meknes is much closer and you can hop on a train.
