botswana, zimbabwe/zambia trip advice

Hello fellow travelers.
I have signed up for an OAT trip to the following places - Botswana being the primary destination. I am now locked in mortal battle with my travel friend over time of year. Should we go in January (rainy season) or should we wait and go later in the year (like June?). Thanks , in advance. I know I can count on really good advise.

I'd go in June or later. You may pay less in Jan, but OAT is not that high priced of a trip to begin with.

If dry season is out, I'd do Jan rather than not at all. I've had some outstanding experiences in the rainy season.

Nice to see you are continuing to get around the world, annergizer!

"you traveling anywhere awesome?"
Okinawa with my husband in 2 days.

Hate to get wet...I never got drenched, but did get some drops on me in rainy season travel. That makes me think June or later is even more important.

If the choice is January or June, I'd definitely choose June. Not only does it rain in January, but the grass is high and the wildlife is dispersed because there is water everywhere.
