HI Themis,
My wife and I are going on a honeymoon to Mauritius next february.
Do you know anything on Le Beau Rivage Hotel and Les Pavillions ? Which one is best? And, finally, what tours do you recommend ?
Thanks...Arthur

Hi Arthur and congratulations! Both hotels are quite nice, though not the most luxurius choise. Still it is the island you need to discover. Pavillons is on the southwest of the island, Morne, which is the best (in my opinion) and most quiet beach. Only probelm is that it takes a while to get anywhere else in the island. Beau Rivage is closer to the action.
Anyone suits you, but take my advise and get out of the hotel. There are many excellent things to do and quite cheap. There will be many agents in the hotel lounge offering excursions, but the best value for money is by far Mautourco.
Tips: 1) Do the catamaran excursion to Ilot Gabriel with the famous pink catamaran named Harry Wilson (try a weekday to avoid crowds).
2) If you r up for some action, the Sport and Nature excursion will take you into the heart of Mauritian wildlife, abseiling, canyoning, it is an unforgettable experience.
3) Dont stau only in the hotel, people are friendly, go out, try the local food and you will be rewarded!
Have a blast, Mauritius is purely amazing, wish i were there
