You're about 20 minutes farther east from Punta's center if you stay out here, but La Posta's many fans appreciate the relative isolation—plus La Barra and Manantiales nearby offer plenty of top-notch beaches and diversion. From its stylish lobby to its relaxed lounge and restaurant, this hotel takes an informal approach to luxury. The Mediterranean theme—red-tile floors and white-stucco walls—complements the impeccably decorated rooms; each is furnished with hand-stenciled antiques and canopy beds and has views of either the beach or the small garden. The adjoining seafood restaurant is outstanding. Although rates here are on the pricey side—worth it, of course—Cangrejo offers numerous Web-only promotions.
