The Best Bar in Arequipa, The Southern Andes and Lake Titicaca

Background Illustration for Nightlife

Most of the after-dark entertainment revolves around a number of cafés and bars near the city center along Calle San Francisco, Calle Zela, and Calle Santa Catalina. Many of these bars and cafés offer creative cocktails and character; some nights there's live music, typically of the rock variety. If you're dining around the plaza, there are usually groups of musicians playing traditional music and hawking their CDs.

Museo del Pisco

For an education in booze-onomics, come to this upscale pub and bistro that doubles as a pisco museum, and stay to have a couple of their strong sours and chilcanos (Peruvian brandy cocktails) while you enjoy burgers and well-executed Peruvian staples.
