3 Best Hotels in Falkland Islands, South America

Background Illustration for Hotels

Because the great outdoors takes front and center on these rugged islands, hotels tend to be basic, functional bases from which to come out of the cold, get a hot meal and shower, and fall into a comfortable bed. That said, islanders take pride in their hospitality and know how to make guests feel welcome. You won't find luxury lodgings here, but you will find everything you need for a pleasant, comfortable stay.

Bennett House B&B

You couldn't ask for a warmer welcome than at Celia Stewart's traditional Stanley home, in the center of town with views of the harbor. Entered via a pretty glassed-in porch, the breakfast and common rooms are cheerfully decorated with fresh flowers and plenty of space to lounge or watch TV. Guest rooms are large and spotlessly clean. Bathrooms are large with powerful showers and plenty of hot water—a big plus in this climate. Best of all: a magnificent home-cooked breakfast and cakes at teatime are all included in the price.
