The hotel selection in downtown El Bolsón is woefully inadequate. Numerous guesthouses take small groups, but the Hotel Amancay is the only full-service hotel worth "recommending." You’ll find more choices in Villa Turismo, a hillside community of cabins, bed-and-breakfasts, and small inns located about 2 km (1½ miles) south of town, off Avenida Belgrano. Lodges in the surrounding mountains open for fishing season in summer (November–April) and close in winter (May–October).
Smack dab in the heart of downtown El Bolsón, these neat and bright apartments serve as a good base to explore the surrounding sights. The cabins are modest but homey, opening out onto a green garden where there are hammocks, outdoor dining tables, and a parrilla.
