Starland Strange and Bazaar

Hip, radical, weird, adorable—if there were an easy way to classify this store's style, it wouldn't be called strange. Follow artist JuLu's wildly painted stairs to find Starland-specific merch and hilariously irreverent stickers like Elvis Jesus, plus a menu of ice cream cones you can snack on while you shop.

Super Silly Stuff

Universal Studios

Talk about truth in advertising: this colorful gift shop tied to Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem is filled with what seems to be millions of cute minions (both one-eyed and two-eyed) on T-shirts and mugs and in the form of stuffed dolls. Gru fans can also find a black-and-gray scarf like the one worn by the supervillain. If you feel it's too hot in Florida for the actual scarf, buy a T-shirt with one silk-screened onto it.

Superbloom

Part gift shop, part café, Superbloom is a cheerfully eclectic space serving up marvelous, nutritious drinks along with locally made crafts. Browse screen-printed tea towels, ultra-modern affordable jewelry, hand-crafted beauty products, and more. This is the place to support local artists and artisans!

Swallow

Carroll Gardens
If you're looking for a gift or a special trinket for that hard-to-shop-for friend or family member who has exquisite taste and an appreciation for the fine designs of nature, head to Swallow. Anatomy- and nature-inspired jewelry, vases, painted gold-leaf mirrors, chimes made of obsidian shards and dried eucalyptus, and other objets d’art and curiosities are just some of the offerings. Browsing here is a bit like traveling down the rabbit hole into a grown-up’s housewares wonderland.

Tender Land Home

Home goods are artfully displayed at The Tender Land Home, a sophisticated country shop filled with housewares and small—aka easily transportable—delights. Thirty Below Leather

This shop specializes in leather travel gear, handbags, wallets, hats, and accessories, all priced under $30, of course.

Tiburon

Red Hook

Embracing the neighborhood's maritime history is this little shop where kitsch meets nautical-theme merchandise. Self-described as the Red Hook vintage store/souvenir store/general store/five-and-dime, the items in here are constantly changing, may they be funny socks, aloha shirts, vintage dresses, trucker hats, jewelry, Stormtrooper mugs, greeting cards, or other random things that you may not necessarily need—but, as they say, "you just gotta have."

Tower Hotel Gifts

Disney's Hollywood Studios

After the screams and thrills of the Tower of Terror, what could be better than a mug from the hotel bar, the actual bell from the front desk, or a leather key fob from "your" room. In addition to leather handbags and bellboy hats, you can find some rather macabre takes on Disney characters that are exclusive to this shop.

Trail Ridge Store

This is the park's only official store (though you'll find a small selection of park souvenirs and books at the visitor centers). Trail Ridge stocks sweatshirts and jackets, postcards, and assorted craft items.

Triton Gallery

Midtown West

Theatrical posters both large and small, new and vintage are available here, and the selection is tremendous, with everything from Marlene Dietrich's Blue Angel to recent Broadway shows like Hamilton in stock. You'll need to be buzzed in, then head up to floor six to behold this compact, visual archive. (Call ahead for the store's current hours.)

The Twisted Pine Fur and Leather Company

Outfit yourself in classic leather Western jackets and hats at this museum-like shop that also carries weavings, pelts, bows and arrows, pipes, housewares, animal pelt rugs, and jewelry.

Universal Studios Store

Universal Studios

Like Disney's Emporium in the Magic Kingdom, this sizable store is the last retail outlet you see before exiting the park. Although it doesn't have all the merchandise sold in individual park gift shops, as the park's central shopping destination it does have most of it—and some of the best, including T-shirts, stuffed animals, hats, backpacks, gifts, mugs, and limited-edition Universal trading pins. A big plus is that even if you don't visit IOA, you'll find some of the popular merchandise that's sold primarily at the neighboring park.

University Co-Op

University of Texas Area

The beating burnt-orange heart of Longhorn Nation is on display at this emporium of UT paraphernalia, located in the middle of the Drag on campus. You can find Longhorn-logoed everything at this three-level department store founded in 1896 after a similar co-op at Harvard, from Crocs and floral dresses to $350 pairs of burnt-orange Lucchese cowboy boots. Even if you have no direct (or indirect) connection to UT, stop in if you're in the neighborhood to snag your own UT memento.

Venue

Ballard

Venue is the chic version of the Made In Washington stores. You won't find the usual souvenirs here, only goods made by local artists (some of whom have their studios in the sleek bilevel space). Watch the designers at work, chat with the staff (most are artists taking shifts), or just browse through artisanal chocolates, custom handbags, handmade soaps, baby wear, and colorful prints and mosaics.

Village Peddler

This shop has a "chocolatorium," where you can learn all about cocoa. It sells fudge and other candies and stocks a large collection of teddy bears, one of whom is giant and made of chocolate.

Washington Street Mall

Positioned in the heart of Cape May's historic district, this outdoor pedestrian mall's stores and restaurants occupy old town buildings. More than 80 vendors hawk clothing, souvenirs, gifts, toys, beachwear, ice cream, candy, coffee, and just about anything you would come to expect in a vacation town. On most summer evenings, free concerts are held at the adjoining Rotary Bandstand, and autumn brings sidewalk sales and art shows.

Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes

Universal Studios

Practical jokes and novelties are a never-ending source of amusement—at least for the person who owns them. This is where you can stock up on cheap gags that'll keep you entertained (and others annoyed) for weeks. Highlights included Pygmy Puffs, U-No-Poo pills, Skiving Snackboxes, Puking Pastilles, Sneakoscopes, Bombtastic Bombs, Peruvian Instant Darkness Powder, Decoy Detonators, Extendable Ears, chattering teeth, and whoopee cushions. It's everything a kid (and some juvenile adults) could ever want.

What's New

French Quarter

Everything in this store carries a New Orleans theme, making it a great place to buy souvenirs people will actually want to keep, including fleur-de-lis–covered flasks, decorative pillows, nightlights with shades made from photographs of city scenes, glassware, ceramics, jewelry, and other works by local artists.

Where the Buffalo Roam

Come here for quirky T-shirts, CU and Colorado souvenirs, and a variety of trinkets.
