Island Candy Company

Before crossing the cribstone bridge to Bailey Island, stop at this sweet little cottage—complete with a picket-fenced flower garden—for some old-fashioned confections. The brittle, bark, buttercreams, truffles, dipped candied fruit, and fudge that fill the glass cases are all made in the candy kitchen just behind the counter. There's ice cream, too!

Faubourg Marigny

Owned by voodoo priestess Sallie Ann Glassman and located inside the New Orleans Healing Center, this mystical shop specializes in voodoo religious supplies (candles, herbs, tinctures, books, incense), as well as Haitian and world art. Glassman also offers crystal-ball readings by appointment, while other staff members do psychic visions and tarot card readings.

Islands of Adventure

The rambling emporium inside the entrance/exit of IOA is the largest store in the park. It's filled with a little something of everything from everywhere, even some items from the attractions of Universal Studios. Here you'll find Kong, Spider-Man, superheroes, and puh-lenty of Potter themes plastered on sandals, frames, mugs, cups, caps, and clothing. It's perhaps the park's best one-stop shopping experience.

Ithaca Farmer's Market

The open-air Ithaca Farmer's Market is perhaps Ithaca's hottest ticket on a weekend morning. Artwork, food, plants, and flowers, all local, fill the 80-plus stalls. The market is open seasonally. Weekends (May–October, Saturday 9–3, Sunday 10–3; April, Saturday 9–3; November and December, Sat. 10–3) are at Steamboat Landing, off Route 13, a mile north of downtown. A Tuesday market (May–October, 9–2) is held at Dewitt Park, at Cayuga and Buffalo streets.
