This open-air shopping hub is mere steps from the area's more established mall, The Shops at Wailea. Retailers include home-decor favorite Hue, Bikini Market; there's also an art gallery. Akamai Coffee will put some pep in your step, Manoli's Pizza is a great spot to grab a slice, and the Tikehau tiki lounge is a true cocktail destination. Wailea Urgent Care is open from 8 am to 8 pm daily and accepts walk-in patients. The shopping center also hosts the Sunset Market—featuring outdoor vendors, music, and other fun—every first Thursday evening of the month and a farmer's market every Tuesday morning.

Waipio Valley Artworks

In a vintage home, this quaint gallery showcases finely crafted wooden bowls, koa furniture, paintings, and jewelry—all made by local artists. There's also a great little café where you can pick up a sandwich or house-made ice cream before descending into Waipio Valley.

Located in an old hardware storefront in downtown Clayton, this fun and eclectic outdoor shop offers a little something for everyone—from hiking and camping gear, to books and gift items, to local food and beer. There’s even a kids play area, ice cream shop and axe-throwing venue on premises.

Wanderlust

Take a bit of summer with you from this shop that specializes in wicker and rattan chairs, colorful linens, upholstered and painted wood furniture, glasswork, woven area rugs, outdoor pillows, and shell art. Their items can be found in many of the beach houses in town, but can work just as well in mountain cottages, back porches, and sun-drenched apartment corners.

Ward Village

Ala Moana

Heading west from Waikiki toward downtown Honolulu, you'll run into a section of town with distinct shopping-complex areas; there are more than 100 specialty shops and around 40 eateries here. The Ward Entertainment Center features 16 movie screens, including a state-of-the-art, 3D, big-screen auditorium, and all theaters have reclining chairs and access to an extended food menu and alcoholic beverages for those of age. The South Shore Market is a contemporary collection of local shops and restaurants, plus T. J. Maxx and Nordstrom Rack. For distinctive Hawaiian gifts, such as locally made muumuus, koa-wood products, and Niihau shell necklaces, visit Martin & MacArthur and Na Mea Hawaii. There's also free parking around the entire Ward Village, though sometimes you have to circle for a while to find a spot. Valet parking is also available.

Warehouse 3540

An old warehouse has new life as a marketplace for a dozen creative entrepreneurs and as a hub for food trucks. Hand-printed clothing, authentic lauhala hats, boho-chic jewelry, letterpressed cards, specialty food products, original paintings, and locally crafted soaps are offered at the oft-changing shops and stalls. Locals and visitors mingle at shaded picnic tables outside. On Second Saturday evenings each month, craft vendors, farmers, cooks, and musicians join the scene.

If you want to feel the love, come to this little boutique owned by lifelong surfers Winnie Beattie and her husband Rob Magnotta. Everything has a sunny, beachy vibe, from leather sandals, bikinis, and bleached sweaters to handblown glass vases. The Warren Store

This more-than-a-century-old general store has everything you'd hope to find in tiny but sophisticated Vermont: a nice selection of local beer and wine, cheeses, baked goods, strong coffee, and delicious sandwiches and prepared foods. In summer, grab a quick lunch on the small deck by the water; in winter, warm up at the wood stove. Warm, woolly clothing and accessories can be found upstairs.

Washington Street Mall

Positioned in the heart of Cape May's historic district, this outdoor pedestrian mall's stores and restaurants occupy old town buildings. More than 80 vendors hawk clothing, souvenirs, gifts, toys, beachwear, ice cream, candy, coffee, and just about anything you would come to expect in a vacation town. On most summer evenings, free concerts are held at the adjoining Rotary Bandstand, and autumn brings sidewalk sales and art shows.

Water Tower Place

Long considered the pinnacle of Chicago shopping, this multistory mall is so much more than a gathering of great retailers; it's also home to Broadway Playhouse (where you can see Broadway-quality touring shows), The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Chicago (known for amazing tea service), and a few restaurant and snack options.
