Liberty Theatre
A massive amber chandelier glows above the 630 seats of this magnificent Italian Renaissance theater that's been a fixture in downtown Astoria since 1925. Painstakingly restored in 2006 and known for its dozen interior murals of Venice, the former vaudeville movie house shows local and nationally prominent dance, classical music, and theater as well as occasional film screenings throughout the year.
