Fodor's Review

Coffee afficionados head to Greenpoint for Búdin’s $10 latte—it's pricey because it's made with Danish licorice syrup, topped with licorice powder, and served on a silver tray. Búdin (Icelandic for “the shop”) is the only café in NYC that serves coffee by the Oslo-based roaster Tim Wendelboe, whose beans are favored by top European chefs. The back of the shop is stocked with Scandinavian-design goods like soft blankets, Marimekko tea sets, and Bad Norwegian bath products.
