Bella Vista Motel

$ | 180 6th St., Copper Harbor, MI, 49918, USA

Next to the ferry dock for Isle Royale National Park, this motel also has its own dock on the harbor and, not surprisingly, some rooms have harbor and Lake Superior views—Bella Vista is Spanish for "beautiful sight." Accommodations are split between the two-story Isle Royale House, a ranch-style motel (which has the best lake views), and eight cottages with full kitchens. These are set in nicely landscaped grounds with trees and neat lawns. Complimentary coffee is served in the lobby each morning starting at 6:30. All rooms offer cable television and free Wi-Fi.

Pros

  • Free use of canoes
  • Friendly staff have good local knowledge
  • Great bakery nearby

Cons

  • Not enough lawn chairs for every motel guest
  • Not enough picnic tables for every cottage
