The Bradford Guest House
Along the Santa Fe Trail, this guesthouse holds the title as Kansas's oldest private residence. Built in 1860 by Council Grove's first recorded physician, and later used as apartments, its 2007 remodel added modern amenities for the ultimate private homestay. There are three guest rooms, with access to common areas—gardens, living room, dining room, den with flat-screen television and satellite channels, and backyard seating. Renting the entire house also grants use of the indoor kitchen and outdoor barbecue-grill area.
