Bicycling

Tusayan Bike Trail. Pedal the depths of the Kaibab National Forest on the Tusayan Bike Trails System (also known locally as the Greenway Trail). Following linked loop trails at an elevation of 6,750 feet, you can bike as few as 3 miles or as many as 38 miles round-trip along old logging roads (some parts are paved) through ponderosa pine forest and the national park. Keep an eye out for elk, mule deer, hawks, eagles, pronghorn antelope, turkeys, coyote, and porcupines. Open for biking year-round (but most feasible March through October), the trail is accessed on the north side of the IMAX parking lot or on the west side of Highway 64, a ½ mile north of Tusayan.
