Nightlife in Placencia is generally limited to drinking at a handful of local bars, of which Barefoot and Tipsy Tuna are perhaps the most popular. You can hear live music on weekends at Barefoot, Tipsy Tuna, and J-Byrds.

Barefoot Beach Bar

After dark, Barefoot gets its share of seaside sippers. The food is good, and it has one of the best selections of rums on the peninsula, as well as occasional live music.

Pickled Parrot Bar & Grill

The Thursday-night trivia contests here are a village institution. Weekend evenings give way to live music.

Tipsy Tuna

The friendly Tipsy Tuna is Placencia's largest open-air beach bar and the village's best-known nightspot. There's live music some weekend nights, and you can always shoot pool or watch sports on a big-screen TV. Fill up on bar snacks like burgers, fajitas, tacos, and shrimp baskets. There's karaoke some nights and Garifuna drumming occasionally.

Toucan Jack's

You’ll need to make it an early night here since the place closes at 8 every evening. While they’re open, though, you can count on cold beers, tasty margaritas, and lots of shrimp ceviche and chicken wings. A few evenings give way to live music.
