Fodor's Expert Review Juno's Café

$ Dublin Café

Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.

At the gates of the Phoenix Park and perfect for a pre- or post-amble dinner, this café has few culinary frills but delivers plenty of hearty bang for your precious euros. Finnish head chef Juha Salo, formerly of the Mermaid Café and 101 Talbot, adds a little magic dust to some old reliables. His fish-and-chips—with a wafer-light batter and chunky, crisp chips—has to be one of the best in the city. Local produce and seasonal choices predominate, and the rigatoni with Gubeen chorizo, grilled pepper, and olives is a delicious belly filler. Dishes such as the Bellingham Blue Cheese Polenta with roast sweet corn salsa satisfy more adventurous tastes.
