Lydford

The sequestered hamlet of Lydford packs a lot into a small area: there's the dramatic scenery of the gorge just outside the village, the remains of a medieval castle, and some attractive options for eating and sleeping. The Granite Way cycle track, much of it running along a disused railway route, connects Lydford with Okehampton.
