What does it mean to be human? From Feb. 8 to Sept. 3, a new exhibit at The London Science Museum will be addressing that question via a unique mechanical collection. The event, simply titled “Robots”, examines how robots compare to humanity and “the insights they offer into our ambitions, desires and position in a rapidly changing world,” according to the museum’s website. Featuring examples of automatons that span all the way back to the 16th century, rooms include such sights as Kodomoroid, a communication android from Japan, “Maria” from the 1927 sci-fi film Metropolis, and a realistic baby hanging from a wall.
