Public Transport

Within Copenhagen, Metro trains and buses operate around the clock on the same ticket system and divide Copenhagen and surrounding areas into three zones. Unlimited travel within two zones (inner-city area) for one hour costs DKr 24 for an adult. A city pass good for unlimited travel in four zones for 24 hours costs DKr 80. A Copenhagen Card includes admission to attractions as well as public transit for 24 to 120 hours beginning at DKr 359.

The harbor buses are small ferries that travel along the canal, with stops along the way. The boats are a great way to sightsee and get around the city. They run from 7 am to 11 pm (10 am to 11 pm on weekends). Standard bus fares and tickets apply.

The Metro system runs nonstop. There are currently two Metro lines in operation. The major Metro hubs in central Copenhagen are Nørreport Station and Kongens Nytorv. Stations are marked with a dark-red Metro logo.
