Sensatori Resort Aphrodite Hills

$$$ | Aphrodite 1, 8509, Cyprus Fodor's Choice

If you are a golfer or tennis player rather than a beach goer, the family-friendly Aphrodite Hills will be your dream come true—it offers an 18-hole championship course and a tennis academy with nine professional courts. The resort also has a luxe spa with Elemis treatments, a gym, and an expansive, gorgeous infinity pool overlooking the sea, its own village square, with restaurants, shops, and bars, and a kids' club. The only thing it doesn't have is a beachfront, though the resort offers complimentary shuttles to its two nearby beach clubs. The country club feel extends to the resort's rooms, which are clean and modern with Aphrodite-inspired accents including replicas of ancient clay pots; some rooms open onto terraces with views of the golf course and the sea beyond, while selected suites have their own private plunge pools or are swim-up—great for families and couples alike.

  • Nine dining destinations available
  • Beautiful views of the Mediterranean sea and Aphrodite's Rock

Leonardo Laura Beach and Splash Resort

$$ | Chlorakas Ave., 8104, Cyprus

One of the few hotels in Paphos that looks west onto the sunset, Leonardo Laura is a true family favorite. The main attraction is the Splash waterpark with multi-lane racing slides, a space bowl, white knuckle Boomerango, and a mini splash park for toddlers. However, for those who prefer to keep dry there is an on-site cinema, an escape room and five restaurants to choose from. Renovated a couple of years back, the accommodation feels fresh and modern and is kept very clean; the swim-up suites are fun for a family of four.

Pros

  • Varied dining options
  • Entertainment every night
  • Friendly and accommodating staff

Cons

  • Taxi or bus needed to get to Paphos center
  • Little else around the hotel
